Andrew Ravenscroft is your local Wanaka JAE technician. He received our Technician of the Year award in 2021, for his passion and commitment to providing the best possible service. During recent flooding in the Westcoast, Andrew packed up and left straight away arriving in a matter of hours to be at the scene. This made all the difference to helping minimise the damage to people’s homes.
After the storm swept through the country leaving the West Coast heavily damaged, Andrew stayed for 6 weeks to help clean up – he likely would’ve stayed longer had it not been for a Covid19 lockdown. After returning home due to the lockdown, multiple clients in the area contacted the manager to request Andrew’s service directly – and were willing to wait for him to return.
This was a particularly demanding job, yet Andrew received such high praise from the local clients that he had exceeded their expectations after going above and beyond his role. He’s an in-demand kind of guy!
Renowned for his positive can-do attitude, Andrew just has that knack for people and is often the go-to technician for client queries and internal liaison.
His attention to detail in his work also expands to his care for his carpet cleaner – a Sapphire 870 Truckmount – which is a rarity in New Zealand. He’s frequently found cleaning and polishing his Sapphire, while taking photos and chatting to it – we think it goes without saying, Andrew is a real gem!
