Flies are a particular concern in commercial food preparation environments, but can also be a persistent problem in residential properties, especially during summer. Blowflies, house flies, and cluster flies all pose hygiene risks, as they land on food and surfaces and can transmit bacteria.

Effective fly control starts with identifying the species and the breeding source, since house flies, blowflies, fruit flies, and cluster flies each behave differently and respond to different treatments. Persistent indoor activity is almost always linked to a nearby source — bins, drains, decaying organic matter, dead animals in cavities, or animal waste outside — so simply spraying the adults rarely solves the underlying problem.

When you book JAE, our technician inspects the property to locate the breeding source and identify the species involved. We then treat the source directly, apply residual surface sprays to entry points and resting areas such as eaves and rafters, and use targeted baits or fly lights in commercial settings where appropriate.

We will also walk you through practical steps to reduce the chance of flies returning — sealing bins, fixing drainage issues, screening windows, and removing organic matter from around the home. With the source treated and the environment corrected, fly numbers usually drop dramatically within days.
